I agree - though I've never been able to figure out what this China policy essentially consists in. At any rate, he is rational enough not to want Armageddon, which places him head and shoulders above most western commentators. And whatever his stance on China, he is absolutely right about Russia; and his outrage over the Gaza genocide strikes me as genuine. So, for the moment, I still regard him as a good egg.
