You seem to be forgetting that Ukraine is a sovereign state. It declared independence from the Soviet Union in 1991 and has fulfilled the criteria for sovereign statehood under international law, just as did Moldavia, Russia, and Uzbekistan. If Ukraine seeks NATO membership, Russia has no right whatsoever to invade and murder tens of thousands of Ukrainian men, women, and children and to take over the country in order to prevent it. How is that so difficult for you to understand. Your aversion to war appears to be very selective. You simply cannot provide any instance where the U.S. has invaded its neighbor as Russia has done, even with tens of thousands of illegal immigrants invading U.S. southern border. Yet The U.S, has not invaded Mexico. No rational thinking person believes that NATO would ever intentionally invade Russia. Putin just wants Russian expansionism and a land grab, its as simple as that and he is using NATO as a phony excuse to do it. Putin would love to recreate the mighty Soviet Union, and he is well on his way to doing it. But you go ahead and continue to focus your condemnation against the U.S. while a new hammer and sickle flag is being designed by Putin in anticipation of his impending victory when Trump hands it to him on a bloody silver platter. Who knows, maybe one day such a flag may be flying over your city. h.. |
