No, Canada is a US ally, so it poses no threat to the US. But suppose, for example, that Canada wanted to join a China-led military coalition aimed explicitly against the US. Do you imagine that the US would permit it on the ground that Canada is a sovereign nation? Or would they view it as an intolerable threat to their security? Russia too does not like countries on its borders being bundled into military alliances aimed explicitly against them (and who else is NATO aimed against except for Russia?). The West condemns Russia for behaving no differently to the way any state, including America, would behave under similar circumstances. The Ukraine war is not about Good versus Evil, The Light versus The Dark. Reality is not a Hollywood movie. It is the West seeking to shore up its global dominion against challengers, and in doing this it is shedding vast amounts of blood (Ukraine, Gaza, etc.) and threatening a global nuclear conflagration. The challengers are acting in their own interests as well; but their interests coincide with the construction of a more democratic world order. I am anti-American because I'm against the Yank Empire. Look what it's doing in Gaza, by its support for Israel. Besides which, it is America that is the source of everything bad in the world: free market ideology, wokeness, victim feminism - ultimately, our persecution as boylovers. How can we not be "anti-American"?
