One caveat to always keep in mind about Mearsheimer, no matter how good he sounds on most issues, is that he is a huge advocate of "containing" China and his negative view towards all other conflicts is in part because he sees them as distractions from promoting American hegemony in east Asia (and the world). Just saying.
