What a troll, to suggest someone be transparent and honest about their feelings! Death wishes to anyone who even suggests that a fellow BCer might not be burned at the steak over their impure thoughts! Have a little faith Fraggy. Can you not imagine a world where parents might praise the OP for their honesty? Can you not see how being transparent with the parents could lead to the OP getting community support to deal with their feelings in a healthy way BEFORE they make an impulsive decision resulting in prosecution? True the parents would likely inform the OP's parents and there might be some uncomfortable discussions ahead, but isn't that better than them just hiding their feelings during the day and white knuckling their dark impulses at night, alone with a vulnerable 8 year old disabled child on their lap? The pessimism here on BC is part of what makes this place such a toxic cult. This is what cults do - telling people that they will never be accepted outside of the cult. No attempt to bridge the gap between the OP and their young friend's parents. Not even trying to see things from the child's perspective.
