The pessimism here on BC is part of what makes this place such a toxic cult. This is what cults do - telling people that they will never be accepted outside of the cult. No attempt to bridge the gap between the OP and their young friend's parents. Not even trying to see things from the child's perspective.

How about you go first. Announce to all your friends that you are a pedophile with sexual feelings for boys.
