we went over this last time you brought this up. "fight for your country" means lots of different things. this sort of rhetoric is used by politicians on all sides in all different countries. You can find many many examples of democrat politicians saying similar things. So if you were consistent, you would be calling them out too, but you dont. Which tells me that you are not unbiased either politicians talk in rhetoric, sometimes fiery or aggressive, and that is accepted as part of the politics without necessarily holding the person to account for what someone who heard their speech does. Or, most politicians should be in jail for things that they have 'instigated' or 'incited' by things they have said in speeches. Your complete lack of intellectual curiosity and rigor around this topic really saddens me. firstly, this isnt an argument, this is a kind of attack to make me feel bad by questioning my integrity, and so feel like I have to accept your argument. I do not accept your interpretation of one sentence in a speech. He also told them to go peacefully, but for some reason you never pick that part of the speech out. that does not make me intellectually dishonest. |
