i already answered the question

If the hypothetical was simply "a newspaper settles a court case for $800 million after accusations that bill gates was a child rapist" ( ie leaving out all the other information that I would not be privy to) , then I might think that the newspapers made it up, since theres lots of evidence of them making stuff up.
