Your analysis of that period was correct, I was one of those people protesting Anita, at the time. Ultimately, she was a (needlessly) tragic figure who was manipulated by some very evil people who visited tragedy upon the rest of us, too. I don't agree with your analogy to "trans kids," who I know to mostly be "gay kids." I think they are victims, too but the radical trans movement is largely responsible for their victimizion. This is a gay rights issue, the right for kids to be gay and not to be considered "born in the wrong body." They need all the support they can get to be gay kids, not hormones or surgery. The gay community is failing to do that. This is also a humans rights issue that we need to get right. |
