Of course, I don't pretend to know the full situation in the UK, but I know enough about the US to say that immigrants are more upwardly mobile than native-born citizens. I have no reason to believe it's terribly different in the UK. Immigrants are immigrants because they're more motivated to get off their asses than the slackers who stayed behind. If half of people in public housing are immigrants, that does not mean that half of all immigrants are in public housing. You've got that completely ass backwards.
