Great, so as a Brit who "owns" my country, I get to choose who gets admitted into "my" country, who forms part of my community, and who doesn't. You don't get to decide, and neither does Elon Musk or Donald Trump. And I choose to welcome migrants and refugees. As the economist Richard Murphy recently pointed out, an anti-migrant policy is a policy of economic destruction. It's "my" country, and I choose a different future to one of poverty, poor health, atomisation of community, lower life expectancy, and a politics of meanness, inhumanity and racism. Thanks, but no thanks.
