The dilemma, I guess, is that while I respect prudence on an individual basis, when chosen by tens of thousands of people it is a self inflicted hamstring. The users of sites with an "identity" focus are just a small part of what I'm talking about. Even if every user of BC, BM, BLOL, GC and VoA came out, it'd be a pin drop. NAMBLA, even at the height of its membership, lacked the numbers it needed. We need people who are focused on chasing orgasm-by-boyporn to give a damn. That would give us some of the momentum we need. Yet I doubt those darkweb sites are focused on community building. I'm mad at him for being able to escape his pain while I'm still here living with mine. I think about this more and more, though. If I look at this past year in isolation, I am not happy that I existed. Nor do I look forward to life to come. Maybe it is all just meaningless. |
