I am suggesting that activism is useless in the current epoch, and that we need to hunker down.

I agree with this. I am of the opinion that activism never works, and that everything we think of as having happened by activism in fact happened through the "elites" having decided that it was in their interest to push these changes through.

in the 60s, most people disliked or hated homosexuals, there was no upswell of support. Most people dislike or hated other races, there was no upswell of support. The 2 huge changes were pushed through despite public opinion, not because of them. Activism added precisely nothing.

If that were not the case, activism would always, or nearly always, work. But it doesnt.
