Etenne, I don't remember the social groups twenty-five years ago. Was that just a BC thing? When you say, "the powers that be," are you talking about the cops? FBI? Harassment? I would really like to hear more about that. That reminds me, about five years ago, a certain three-letter agency (presumably) made it known to me, very sneakily, that they knew who I was so... yeah! They just love to spook people! And there's no reason to think that they're any better, today. The real-world thing is tempting, and I'll give it some thought, but I would, in fact, be very cautious about it. The FBI "field trip" entrapment scheme (and it worked!) at our conference many years ago comes to mind. I was not around during those years being otherwise "disposed." It was a massive failure on the part of the organizers, I have to say. The problem is, people just want to trust, especially our community, and they just can't! You have to have astute gatekeepers who can read people. Even then... Beware of people telling you things you want to hear! Do you still have my email?
