There is no realistic similarity between acceptance of the homosexuality community and our community.

The gigantic difference is that society and the community firmly believe that we want to hurt their children. This did not mainly apply to the gay community as it by and large involved consenting adults.

This belief by society is impossible to shake. The overwhelming majority of parents would protect their children with their lives and no amount of activism or publicity or promotion of our cause will alter this erroneous belief.

I am generally a positive person and I love being a BL but I like to think I am a realist too. The odds against us are stacked so devastatingly that promoting our cause is like the classic holding back the ocean.

Who can defeat the notions held by 98% of parents, society, the legal system, the judicial system, the parliamentary system, the horrible child protection racket, the education system and the press and social media?

We can't in the foreseeable future. The tried and true "one boy at a time" remains our greatest way to move forward. This has had successes over centuries and brings with it our greatest chance of happiness and our greatest chance to be a hugely positive influence in the lives of those we love.
