Yes I am sure of all those claims

Firstly, I don't need to have studied the history of homosexuality to know the differing attitudes between "us" and "them". At 54, I have seen the trends develop.

There is nothing to question here. Homosexuality does principally involve consenting adults...yes there are those who like "fresh meat" but they are in the big minority and generally like those who are well above our AOA.

Studying history will not alter the fact that parents will give their lives to protect their children and the fact that society believes we will hurt them.

I know that changing minds can be achieved through a multitude of ways. However there is a greater chance of accepting terrorism than accepting paedophilia. In fact, a significant section of the world population does accept, even promote, terrorism.

I wish your last paragraph was (were?) correct but it isn't. When minds are closed, there is no opening them. But boys recognise love and care and affection and often respond enthusiastically to these beautiful attributes.
