In my opinion, I believe your sexuality is programmed into your brain upon development. Yes, it is a sexual disorder, which is a subset of the mental disorders. However, if you are homosexual and I am talking about the teleiophile type, you are just as mentally ill as a pedophile. I hate this notion of all this social categorization. If you are not heterosexual, by reproductive standards(In otherwords if you are attracted to people that you can mate with). Then you have a sexual disorder, in which case you have a mental disorder. Although it only the case if it prevents you from having offspring. Which means you would have to be exclusive, still this does not prevent you from breeding(physically). So I believe it is a mental disorder(sexual disorder). I have no problem with this, I believe this is a social construct. I guess I appear arrogant, sorry about that, just my opinion. Feel free to correct me. Just because it is a mental(sexual) disorder. Does not mean it should be illegal. You see homosexuals are considered not to have a mental disorder, unlike pedos because of social circumstances. See all this social crap really does break real science! They had to remove it from the mental disorders, because that would make it easy to make legal. I foresee the same the same with pedophilia if that is ever to be legal(Well, the activity of sex with minors), which I believe has a good chance, but still this is not real science. Merely social crap! If I want to be valued in this world, rather than some idiot posting shit on a pedophile board, then I have to play this unscientific social pecking order game. While I am at it, in order to prove my competence I will need to learn some of the social long words, noone will take you seriously if you cannot speak like them! However, psychology is not the profession I want to apply myself to when I am older. BTW, from what I gather Shrink Wrap is highly knowledgeable in this field. I believe our opinions are no where equal to his, just wanted to say that :P. |
