| The big issue with his logic is that there is no legitimate Jewish claim to Palestinian land. We can go even further actually. There is no Jewish people. Judaism is a religion, it is not an ethnicity and Jews share(d) neither a common language nor a common culture nor even shared genetic background. The Jews in each area had more in common in every way with their compatriots from that country. German Jews were German. Moroccan Jews were Moroccan. Russian Jews were Russian. Israel is the attempt to create a reality out of a fantasy. Many of these Jews were and are not even practicing. The same book that they use to justify their occupation is the same book that the first Zionists rejected as fairy tales. And even today in "Israel", we see the huge division between the Haredim and secular "Jews". |
