By "atheist fundamentalism" I simply meant the belief apparently held by Etenne that all the ills of the world can be placed at the door of "religion", that religious believers are necessarily bad people, and the corresponding indifference to the well-being of large portions of the human race which Etenne regularly evinces.

Most of the people in my neck of the woods are Catholics, and I have found them to be kind and gentle and forgiving to a degree that is quite unusual. I knew one Catholic whose faith led her to become a nurse in order to enact Christ's love in practice. So the notion that religious believers are all bad is fanatical Dawkinsesque nonsense that I want nothing to do with.
