I think atheist fundamentalism must be the same as common sense. In order to heat water, i always turn on the heat on the burner. I never try to solve my everyday problems with a prayer. I might have had a history of wishful thinking, when i tried to solve problems by just wishing them to go away. It did not help. Pope Leo warns against de-facto atheism, where people live their lives without asking god for help, where people solve problems in a way without even considering god's influence. Or is atheist fundamentalism the same as science? The one that gave you electricity, phones, medicine, and more? If so, i am a big fan of that fundamentalism. |
