"Yes, I know it runs the gambit of all sexual orientations in general. But I wonder what is the norm?"

If you're asking what the norm for sexual orientation for trans woman is, then there are surveys on this matter. From memory, The majority self-described as gay, bisexual, or queer. Around a quarter described as straight. Heterosexuality, e.g., trans women solely into men, trans men solely into women, was not predominant. This tracks with my personal experience. You'd have to go search yourself to be certain though, or I'd have to decide not to be lazy right now.

"Do you get hit on a lot by these types of men? Guys who mostly like women but want to have sex with transsexuals?"

I have essentially avoided sexual contact with men since coming out as a trans woman. Too many terrible stories from the majority of trans women I've known. The little I've experienced has veered into discomforting territory. I do recall once, late, walking down a city and having a man get very up close and proposition me without any egging on my part, responding with shouting when I declined. I presume that he may have been of this type, but I obviously couldn't tell you his preferences with accuracy. (For the record, he did leave me alone, but it did cross my mind that he might not.)

"Of course, I also read about straight women who are into trans gals but I don't know anything about that first hand."

Me neither. I've had women be into me, but that was largely early in transition or prior to. I suspect they would have been less comfortable once the changes from estrogen became noticeable.
