You have a very parochial view of what you think science must be. Science is whatever best describes physical reality. It is contingent and subject to ruthless reevaluation. It is a continuous process of exploration that is rules- and evidence-based and resistant to ideological hijacking. It's what is left standing after everyone's pet magical theories inevitably fail so miserably. I will happily accept the consequences of science any day over the conceits of persistent, but deluded, tribalism. Science will ultimately get it right while religion never will, having exhausted its most talented and privileged its least deserving. |
