In May, I published an essay about how the persecution of MAPs will unfortunately but inevitably lead to violence. Today, I was informed that a person previously accused of rape of a minor has shot up a party, killing four people and injuring three others. If victim testimony is to be taken at face value, it sounds like the man's actions were genuinely non-consensual, and he deserved to be prosecuted for his actions. But what if he'd been able to safely access mental health support, confide in family and friends, access PIM for personal usage, or easily engage in consensual AMSC?
