Yes, most women support the age of consent and maybe even hate pedophiles. But the same is true for men. And it's mostly men who are in politics, making sexually adultist laws. It seems that males have a greater tendency to be MAPs or pedophiles, because for one, it's normal for a man to be primarily attracted (sexually but not romantically) to women in their 20's, even if he's much older. But it's not normal for women to be attracted to young men in this way. There's also the tendency for males to be attracted (sexually and romantically) to slightly younger females, while females are the reverse (attracted to slightly older males). As a bisexual woman, I have noticed that my lesbian side is rather similar to a man's sexuality. I would therefore expect that the above paragraph does not explain why boylovers tend to be male. So I posit another explanation. The variability hypothesis. Given that males are likelier to be MAPs, perhaps they, on average, have more empathy for MAPs. But that doesn't excuse your sexism against females. I am appalled. We are child liberationists. Feminists are female liberationists. In the past, and in non-Western societies, particularly Islamic, today, women were/are treated like children, paternalistically. Even modern Western society is somewhat paternalistic towards women. We child sexual liberationists are exactly the sort of people who should be feminists. It's true that feminists today tend to oppose child sexual liberation, but that's only coz everyone else does. It's really not feminism's fault. The opposition to child sexual liberation is due to the paternalistic oppression of children. Which is akin to the paternalistic oppression of women. |
