this is not really saying more than "its good because its good" Why is it good? It’s good to have friends (or at least meet) people that think differently. What does 'think differently' mean? Sometimes we are closed in our own minds and we can’t see past our thoughts and the way we see the world. I dont really know what this means. how does knowing about someone elses culture free one from that? For example, I didn’t understand well arab culture until I had an arab friend. He showed me their perspective of the world, or at least, his perspective of the world. It’s quite different from mine but it helped me to understand a bit better some of his culture. Ok, but what does understanding his culture do for you in any meaningful way? I will ask you the same as I asked the other person. How many alt right or far right friends do you have? |
