Why would I lie here? Do you really believe I need to lie? He voted for the most-right party of my country, isn’t that enough? Why is it so hard for you to believe it? Why wouldn’t I be friends with him just because he has a different opinion than me?

That is not incompatible with what I say. Both things can be good. Variety is the key.
