Well, it looks like you mean a (so-called) "civilized" country. I'm not sure that a country like that has EVER existed! There are just countries where things are less "bad" and more "bad". And each has its accompanying drawbacks. The problem with "our own country" is that the bastards would destroy us as soon as they found out about us. Not meaning that it's not worth a try. Just that you'd have to be very well-prepared for the backlash. I've suggested this before: How about ripping off a nice piece of those floating rafts of plastic trash, maybe putting a few layers, one on top of each other for more strength, lashing it all together securely, importing some dirt/plants/trees etc. then tow it all to international waters away from major storm paths, but a place with nice weather. Then open your doors to newcomers, and pray to the great spaghetti monster for success... What do you think? M. |
