I appreciate your story, but I have a question that might be a silly one. Are you sure the intentions of this friend of his are genuine?

I have read what others have said and I concur that you might have pushed him away, or not, but does his friend have the most genuine intentions in mind towards your nephew?

Maybe you are picking up on that?

Also did you ponder whether you have reached your physical affection limit with him that is why you are uncomfortable with him hugging you?
