We are not the therapists.

You might consider B4U-ACT a type of intermediary between clinicians and MAPs. We want the former to have the best research-based information available, and the latter to be able to find competent and safe mental health care if they want it.

It is up to the therapists to develop their treatment approaches. Our job is to encourage those therapists to base their approaches upon good, solid science. If the group formats of which you speak are not so based, they need to be modified. Sex offender groups, however, are just one specialized aspect of mental health care as the vast majority of MAPs are law-abiding.

But by all means, if you have ideas you want to develop with us, we welcome that.

(P.S. I haven't forgotten about you. Patience, my dear.)
