In reply to I told everyone everything and got probation posted by littlexs on 2011-January-16 13:34:00, Sunday

I did not mean to say you should "lie about the facts."

I meant the following:

DO NOT include irrelevant information about other relationships not known to the authorities. Doing so can lead to NEW CHARGES being filed against you.

Admit what you did in this particular case with this particular boy. Nothing more. Give your lawyer these facts, and only these facts.

For example, tell your lawyer (if you did any of the following):
- that you did have porn on your computer
- that you did touch/suck off, etc. the boy

DO NOT tell them about your history as a child, or any of the real motives that you had for the activity (being a BL'er) that you were investigated and/or busted for. Do not seek sympathy. You will not get it.

There is NO NEED, AND NO BENEFIT to admitting things like the following:
- I find I am only attracted to young boys.
- I have been this way since I was XX years old.
- I'm sick and need help (they already think that already)

Admitting to the above WILL MAKE THINGS WORSE.

You want to admit only to the facts that they know about (and assume that the boy "told all", as this is fairly certain to be the case).

You DO NOT want to give them the idea you are a confirmed BL'er.
You DO NOT want to volunteer any other information (but THEY DO want you to further incriminate yourself).

You *DO* want to make them think that you momentarily stepped across the border of propriety, perhaps due to:
- a failed relationship with a woman
- the effects of alcohol
- some-unknown-reason-and-I-don't-understand-it but I did something horrible that I never would ever ever do again.

Why?

If you admit to being a BL, then you automatically fall into the category of "a monster predator of children who cannot be cured and must be isolated forever from the community to protect children, and who must be severely punished".

BUT, if you say, "I had been drinking" then society will understand and tend to minimize your responsibily for the criminal behavior, at least to some extent.

BUT, if you say, "I had a failed relationship with a woman" then they will think you are a normal straight, who somehow for some weird crazy reason touched a child.

BUT, if you say, "I don't know why I did it, it is totally out of character for me" then they will think that you had some kind of momentary lapse, as we all do, and this will minimize their horror at your actions.

BUT DO NOT go into great detail about the above if talking to the police. If you do, they will trick you into contradicting yourself. Then you will have more problems. Just say, "I don't want to talk about that any more." when they try to draw you out.

Any of the other people who have been convicted, can you add to/correct what I have suggested above?

Thanks.
