"THOSE WHO DON'T WORK SHOULDN'T EAT"
A bit tough on pensioners and toddlers, I should have thought, but never mind. No doubt, a favourite verse. Of course, the principle is never applied to the rich.

Catholic social teaching is not reducible to charitable works. Although charity is deemed praiseworthy, charity cannot replace justice, and the church's social teaching asks Catholics to address the systemic causes of poverty and economic injustice. It is strongly critical of neoliberalism, believing that markets must be regulated for the common good, that workers must receive a just wage (not the same as the market wage), and that society has collective obligations to those the market fails.

Furthermore, your whole mode of writing makes it difficult for me to take seriously the notion that you have the slightest genuine concern for your fellow humans. Everything you write has been about protecting your property against those who want a fairer society. And you persistently excuse your lack of interest in those beyond the borders of America (when you are not calling them "trash") by saying that you have no personal economic interest in their fate.

To me it is abundantly clear that your real religion is capitalism, and both Christianity and Catholicism must be pruned and distorted so as to fit that framework.
