Pederasty may be inherently conservative.

I say "may be" because certain aspects of Marxist analysis are indispensable to understanding our plight. (e.g., the corrosive effects of capitalism on all forms of human relations not governed by the cash nexus -- although Marx didn't mention it, that would include of course pederastic relations). Institutionalized pederasty reached its highest flourishing in aristocratic, militarized societies -- Attic Greece/Renaissance Italy/samurai Japan -- and when you think about it, that's not surprising since the socialization of boys to assume positions in strictly governed, hierarchical organizations (priesthoods; the military) is not only best accomplished by men but probably only possible when motivated men are given the job. As to this board, as kit points out, we've got all types here and that includes a beloved "semi-retired leftist" -- one of the genuine pillars of BC throughout its 30 year history. kit may exaggerate slightly but I think he's basically correct that the "conservatives" outnumber the "progressives" -- although you'll find very few arguing here that there is much about the contemporary world order that is worth "conserving." One of the great hidden benefits of being a BL : no matter what your political stance, once you accept that 1) boys turn you on sexually and 2) that doesn't make you a monster, you are forced to think for yourself. Because no one else is going to do it for you -- nowhere on the "right" or on the "left". (Yes, it's true that you find more open acknowledgement on the right that boys are in trouble but that's as far as the right goes because to think about "why" means venturing into the realm of thought crime.
