Didn't Leibniz invent the term theodicy? And also calculus? If Bach is proof of God (at least as performed a decade ago by what was certainly then a very attractive preteen boy), does that suggest math is involved? (I always think of Bach as the most mathematical of composers.) If so, how? It might be hard for Diogenes to argue with math. I suspect Diogenes of disingenuity in suggesting he needs to have the Book of Job explained to him. I am sure he has read and perfectly understands this most famous answer to the question of why a just God allows evil to exist. I have also read it once or twice, but I find the whole thing a bit mysterious. I would be happy if LA, SR, or Kit would assist. hugzu ;-p ![]() |
