To splat or not to splat

"the idea that I can jump off a 20 storey building is harmful. Is it "inherently" harmful... ?" No. "... and does that matter?" Yes. Ideas don't kill people. People kill people. "ideas can, and do, lead to actions. if someone claims that they believe that they should give away all their possessions to the poor, but never actually do it..." If they "never actually do it," then it's not an idea leading to an action. "... then do they really believe what they claim to believe?" Does that matter?
