It was and still is a symbol of peace in many places. The likeness of the swastika has appeared in archaeological sites dating back about 15000 years or so. - - - - - Not just the starvation of civilians, but the tormenting and murdering of many many people who had nothing to do with a crime that was used as justification for it all. If the Israel govt wanted to get Hamas, they should go after Hamas.. not every other nearby person. - - - - - I think.. in decades to come, just as the children and grandchildren of the Nazis (and even non-Nazi Germans) have appeared to feel guilty on behalf of their indifferent or psychopathic parents and grandparents.. the children and grandchildren of the Israelis who are participating in this modern genocide or knew of it and did nothing to help stop it will feel the guilt on behalf of their parents and grandparents. Just as Germans today attempt to make up for the sins of the past (where they are not actually obligated to do so), the same is likely to be true for the young Israelis of the future. The murderers think they are securing a good future for their descendants but in fact are lumbering them with a shameful guilt they will not be able to shake for many decades.
