Physicalism is "falsifiable," but not in the Kuhnian/scientistic sense of the terms. It is a metaphysical claim, not a physical claim, and it is falsifiable more in the way that a mathematical speculation might be. Physicalism is not only falsifiable but provably false. I'll probably never prove it, but if we can shed some doubt on it on these pages here, then we will have done a good deed to all good boy lovers everywhere... |
