Keir starmer isnt to blame. The state isnt to blame ( unless you are going to argue that the state has enabled the huge rise in single mothers which is a big factor in childhood poverty). Parents are to blame. Also, abject poverty? I have no doubt that some kids are in in abject poverty, but I bet most "poor" kids are from families that have multiple mobile phones, huge TVs, lots of subscriptions to Netflix etc, parents smoke or take drugs. so its relative poverty, and the parents are making choices about what to do with their money, and their time. I love boys, but I also think its wrong to force other people to pay for ones mistakes. |
