Suppose one thing you could do..

..perhaps try to make a report to MUFON, even if incomplete, and maybe someone else would be able to investigate.. perhaps one day in the future or if you were very lucky then more immediately. Perhaps other people might have also seen the same thing you saw and held onto the pictures.
