Do feminists matter?

I've seen BLs blame feminism time and again and I'm not convinced. Neither am I convinced that getting them on our side would achieve anything. Society has been trying to protect children from sex since before the first bra burning. With girls it was about protecting their chastity, but with boys it was, and still largely is, about protecting their "masculinity" from gays. That's a sentiment that you can find in the reddest of red districts and I don't think that's because they're a bunch of feminists.
