taking Django seriously

If you take Django seriously, all you can expect to get in the end is a rsesponse equivalent to: "I can't believe you took me seriously!"

Best to treat Django as a clown and a mountebank from the beginning, and just use his completely ridiculous posts as a springboard for making your own far superior and much more interesting points. Obviously, that's what I always do.
