why USA is secular

Yeah, Pope Leo is American, and from what i can see, he is quite woke.

But regarding "Christian" USA. It is quite an interesting story. Those who migrated to the USA were Christians of different nominations, often migrated due to not fitting in with their local church. Arriving in the USA, they build quite strong religious communities, there are maps showing where the Catholics, the baptists, the protestants, Amish, Quakers and so on went.

So, America was quite religious, but not religiously unified. And no nomination should become the countries governing religion. The solution was to base the constitution of the USA on the common ground - a secular base. Religion was independent and could take shape in a form that was appropriate for each place. So in essence, America became secular due to Religion.

I am not even slightly religious - the only religion i would follow must have a boy as its god.
