I specifically limited the function of ASI in the political sphere to conflict resolution, not to imposing a particular set of ideas on anyone.

Except that you expect the AI to resolve the conflicts in a way that you would agree with, in alignment with your values and ideas. Which is the same as imposing a set of ideas on someone.
