Transgression? Courting?

Some weird standards here. At sleepovers growing up, boys would put a sleeping boy's hands into warm water to make them piss themselves (I witnessed (and disapproved of) two attempts, one was successful); boys would take the covers off the last boy still sleeping and slip his dick out, to his eternal (i.e. 1/2 hour) embarrassment (of which I also disapproved, finding it nonethless highly titillating; whether or not the prank turned out to be traumatic for its victim is presumably a function of whether and what sort of a psychotherapist the poor soul was suckered into paying big bucks for years later).

I surely disapprove of "groping" anyone in his or her sleep, but in light of the benign chaos of puerile gropings, it seems to me very strange to take this as some primal transgression on the basis of which one [Nightlife] might imagine some "or worse" transgression on the part of a tactless BL.

I also wonder what Nightlight might mean by "the boy scout scandal." What, is it that scouts and their leaders were more than occasionally groping each other or more, and not even in their sleep? I certainly don't feel scandalized. I feel jealous.

As far as "courting" goes, well, am I completely missing something here, or is the older blond boy in the video not courting the bullied young red-head, showing his affection for him precisely by dying his own hair red? (Hell, that's what I would have done; in fact I did something very similar as a high school student on behalf of a middle schooler, details omitted.) The vignette wants us to pretend that a boy would defend a much younger boy out of some pure ideological sense of "anti-bullying" (a bureaucratic invention if ever there was one). But the motivation for his defense takes hold, in the end, only by virtue of an absolutely taboo erotic bond.
