Just look at other cultures that up until recently when the west started to pressure them, didn't give two shits about the sex lives of adoles. But doesn't that provide a relevant anthropological precedent? The more advanced culture, the Western, made contact with the less advanced culture. And the less advanced culture ascended to the more enlightened position where intergenerational sex was known to be evil and harmful. From the Papuans to Japan, they adopted the more advanced knowledge. Even if we restrict the term "advanced" to technology, this effect still applies to the West's global takeover and to our coming alien friends. So how can we be sure the more advanced aliens won't in fact be far more phobically ruthless in sexual matters? Maybe they outlaw sex altogether, as an animalistic barbarity that advanced peoples leave behind? We have test tubes, after all. I want to see the cut of their jib before I commit. And I want to see some alien genitals. |
