Yes, an appeal to long-dead practices simply because they seemed to "work" back then as if they would fit right in with the conservatism of today is fallacious no matter how much you tell yourself that it all happened "just the other day." Any modern-day conservative would be able to recount all the ways they are incompatible, not the least for being a frontal assault against conservative masculine identity which they are honor-bound to defend.

Vague appeals to moderation and virtue are not "examples" and they certainly mean nothing when you're fondling a conservative man's son. Go ahead and tell him how self-restrained such actions are and see how far you get.

It's called an analogy. If anything, pederasty is even more reprehensible to the conservative than slavery is. You ignore their existential vehemence towards it at your own peril. But don't worry; we're in a chat room.
