I thought I would reply to your post (Instead of kit's) as I think we are aligned in our thoughts (mostly), and that Kit seems to be more in love with the idea of being an outcast than the idea of being a MAP. I do want to make the distinction that societal acceptance DOES NOT mean assimilation as some sort of "Stepford" culture. I know sometimes its hard for some in the BC bubble to talk about the normies, but I will anyway. Like in the gay culture there are geeks, bears, studs, etc. I think there's room here for BLs (pederasts)(whatever nomenclature one prefers). You would never see a gay who likes twinks entertain the idea of being with a bear. The same is true with BL. My point is the BL culture as is, but being accepted. Yes, I know its not possible in our lifetimes. But pushing BL into a pariahistic counter culture seems a troll move as a force of opposition to prevent or stall the movement. So I think mindsets like Kit are just another obstacle to our acceptance. I just don't understand the mindset of wanting to be and loving the idea of being a pariah. Are the gay and straight cultures so grotesk that it is preferable to be relegated to the marginalized corners of the world and live in fear of being imprisoned or bashed to death simply for an attraction to boys? I think that way of thinking is twisted. And shame on those BLs (or trolls, i'm not sure) who want to drag us down and wipe away any and all small ground we might have. Some of that ground being Hebe & Ephebe no longer being classified in the DSM as a disorder. A new term MAP which is less loaded with built up hate (so maybe if in a round about way we need to use MAP for now so that later we can use pederest or pedophile in public conversation, so be it). Scientists acknowledging that MA is biological and not some crazy theory that it stems from some sort of hazing ritual of "I was molested so that means I need to pass it on" crazy uneducated nonsense. So, yes I would push the same button for acceptance that you would and also make it our own unique culture, not assimilation to another but our own WITH ACCEPTANCE.
