Churches are packed with many of the most judgemental, narrow-minded, self-righteous, virtue-signalling bigots going. An odd venue for boylovers to seek refuge and acceptance. You'd be better off trying a synagogue (but pick one of the Reform or Conservative flavour -- the Orthies are apt to be as judgemental as the Jesus freaks and, besides, you wouldn't understand a word of the liturgy.) Steer clear of mosques, of course, unless you're seeking euthanasia or underage gurlies. The received religion aspect aside, I actually agree with Tyred's point in this instance. Those here who would label me "a Virped" are forever accusing those of us who identify as non-offending MAPs of self-hatred and self-flagellation. In reality, I love the aspect of my sexuality that opens my eyes to the beauty of boys. I'm also lucky enough to be in a long-term stable relationship with another guy who understands and accepts my orientation. That says more about him than it does about me and I regard myself as blessed in that respect. But yes, there are a lot of lonely people here who seem to see themselves as incapable or unworthy of acceptance by society as a whole. "O, that you could turn your eyes toward the napes of your necks, and make but an interior survey of your good selves! O, that you could!" ![]() |
