Note that I said "same sex attraction", not "gay". Bisexuals indeed have same sex attraction, even if not exclusively. Hence, same sex attraction is perfectly compatible with heterosexual marriage, the same way that pederasty can be. It's also true that exclusive attraction exists in both camps, where there is no desire to seek marriage. Thus, trying to claim separation due to an ability to marry is just a rhetorical sleight of hand, not a real argument. Marriage is indeed an end goal for some, an end goal I am rather repulsed by. Exactly for the reasons that I said prior, it's forcing homosexual desire into a heterosexual mold. You might be confused re: "trannies". The most common form, historically, was males who dressed in a feminine way, who would usually be attracted to men. Not much fertile happening there. It's also not too different from MtF transgenders/transsexuals, barring how they label themselves. The "difference" was made up later. Even the one you link to, Orton, says his preference is for fifteen, not 11 or 12. Whilst you may personally make a distinction between early adolescence and late adolescence, and prefer the former, it seems that historically there was not strict separation between the two, and that later adolescents were often preferred. With the Uranians, as I've pointed out elsewhere, such a preference was not exclusive to them. I also disagree re: it being "unnatural". There's something to be said for a mature man of maybe 30+ desiring men in that same range, but I think it's perfectly natural for young men or adolescents to desire older men and vice versa. As our cultural norms of what "youth" is expands, so too will attraction shift. This happened in Japan, where not allowing male Kabuki actors to show their unshorn hair decoupled homosexual desire from strict age, it became about a youthful appearance overall, which can be stretched into the late 20s currently. The male libido and psyche are not somehow completely immune to cultural influence. Is it true that women are more socially receptive? Sure. However, less does not mean none. Sexuality in general is deeply influenced by culture. While it is true that men being attracted to male youths is a common historical pattern, "youth" is contextualised culturally, which is the exact point, and thus can stretch from early adolescence, to late adolescence, and to early adulthood. I can't say that modern gay culture is particularly attractive to anyone of good taste. I am not even against casual sex, but the extent to which it's engaged, the frivolity of it all, repulses me. Many gay men have hundreds of hookups, most have it in the dozens. I just find it distasteful. IMO, sex without affection of some kind is about the most vapid thing a person can do. |
