There's something quaint about those who still try to get their kids to pray away the gay. While I don't think it's necessarily "homophobic" in the sense of outward bigotry towards gays, making your kid feel ashamed of their gay feelings is not going to turn out so well. And if he doesn't have any gay feelings to begin with, in this day and age it's bound to sow the seeds of doubt that what his parents taught him wasn't all so wholesome at all. The one's who don't get turned off by that message are bound to become full-blown redneck jack-offs when they grow up. Wonderful future you've got planned for them.
