Teaching young boys to harness Christ's power

Our gc has been having a lively discussion about a song going viral on tiktok (youtube mirror) featuring a boy and his dad rapping about Christ helping them take their sinful homosexual thoughts captive. Here are some of the lyrics:

Dad I know the devil weak
and I know he gonna try and creep
I'm talking to the mountain let me speak
he try to creep but he underneath my feet

You raised me right
you raised me to fight
He laid down his life dad all praise to the Christ
He commin' with darkness I came with the light
He ain't nothin' but a carcass all game no bite

Plus homosexuality is sin
I take the thought captive, I'll never let it in
I'll make it to heaven, I'mma get the win
My God is protection, you will never get my chin

I put my hands up
I'mma fight the monster and I will stand up
I will never wander dad and I will man up
I will fight to the end, me and the monster will never be friends

The conflict in our group chat was over the line "homosexuality is sin," since many of us disagree, dismissing the entyre song as homophobic, but alternatively it could be argued that once a child learns to put on the armor of God to fight sin in one area he is better prepared to face down the devil in other areas of life. Consider the late great Lucky Day who inspired the people of Santo Poco with his speech about the murderous villain El Guapo they were about to face.

For some shyness might be their El Guapo. For others, a lack of education might be their El Guapo. For us, El Guapo is a big dangerous guy who wants to kill us, but as sure as my name is Lucky Day the people of Santo Poco can conquer their own personal El Guapo, who also happens to be the actual El Guapo.

Spoiler alert: the people of Santo Poco did manage to defeat El Guapo by working together as a community with each person contributing what talents they had, but the real question you have to ask yourself is what happened to Santo Poco after the conflict was over? Hopefully they lived happily ever after as a tight knit community, supporting each other and standing up for each other with the bravery that comes from their faith in God and their faith in their fellow Santo Pocoians.

Those of us who are registered sex offenders or who have wrecked their lives with sexual immorality probably wish that someone had taken an interest in them when they were younger and taught them how to avoid sexual immorality. Don't you think the next generation of young boylovers should benefit from the hard earned lessons learned by the blundering older generations?
